Mosquito Control FAQ
Very effective! 97-98% percent of the mosquitoes in your yard will be gone almost immediately. However, this is not a major frost. Mosquitos coming into your yard must land on sprayed areas.
We have found that the mosquito application we provide has excellent residual activity. However, it is difficult for anyone to determine the exact length of time due to many variables. An application typically lasts approximately 30 days, and we have found in the past that two applications, 30 to 40 days apart, are usually sufficient for most of our customers.
The price varies with the size of the property and the amount of vegetation being sprayed. The cost for an average yard is $250-$300 for the two-application package. The only way for us to provide an estimate for each yard is to inspect your property and offer a free quote. This is because we determine our prices based on the amount of material we need to spray, not on the square footage. If you’d like for us to take a look at your property, call us at 262-333-3105 or click here.
We begin spraying at the end of May and stop near the end of September. If you experience a problem within that time frame, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 262-333-3105 or click here to request a quote. That being said, for maximum effectiveness, we suggest starting in the spring, prior to the first outbreak of the mosquito season. Not only will this kill the mosquitoes when they start to hatch, it will also reduce the amount of eggs being laid in your yard.

The product we use is one of the LEAST toxic products for the control of mosquitoes being used. Our product dries on the vegetation being sprayed in less than one hour. Once the product is dry, your yard can be enjoyed comfortably by both children and pets.
The EPA approves our product for use around children and pets. It is also approved for inside use. If you’d like to read more about the product we use, Demand CS, click here.
No. A normal amount of rain (1 Inch or less) will not affect the product. The product is designed to withstand rainfall. It gradually dissipates over time. We do not guarantee the product will last through abnormally high amounts of rain.
Our mosquito application is a contact killer. Any mosquitoes landing on the treated surface in your yard will die. In many cases we will treat overhangs, doors, window frames, etc., to give more protection if necessary. We suggest that you discuss spraying with your neighbors for maximum protection.

There could be a new hatch of mosquitoes. New hatches can fly over from neighbors’ houses, and it may take a day or two for the mosquitoes to land on something we’ve sprayed. Please be patient. We’re working with nature! If you’re worried our product isn’t working, feel free to go into your backyard and shake a branch on a tree, bush, shrub, or any other plant we might have sprayed.
If nothing flies out, there’s a new hatch that needs time to land. If mosquitoes do fly out, please give us a call, and we’d be happy to give you a touch-up.
Two factors determine whether your yard will offer adequate mosquito protection.
- Areas to apply our product
Mosquitos love dark and damp areas for living and breeding. So when we apply the product to your yard, we mainly spray any bushes, trees, and shrubs, as well as shady grass to kill the mosquitos and offer you the best protection. The most protectable yards are those that have a lot for us to spray. - Barriers between your yard and your neighbors’ yards
Once we leave your yard 95 % of your mosquitos are dead, but your neighbor’s mosquitos are not (unless they get sprayed as well). The best way to stop your neighbor’s mosquitoes from coming into your yard is to have lots of barriers (bushes, trees, shrubs, etc.) between your yard and your neighbor’s yard. The more barriers you have, the more areas there are for the mosquitoes to land, offering you the best protection.
Contrary to popular belief, yards that are completely surrounded by thick woods offer the best protection.
Watering the areas that were sprayed will shorten the effectiveness of your application. This can also create conditions for mosquitoes to live and breed. If your sunny grass has been sprayed for ticks, watering it will also reduce its effectiveness.
